Seongsu Jokbal

성수족발

A jokbal (braised pig's trotter) restaurant in Seongsu, run by the second generation since 1983. Jokbal is the only dish — you pick medium, large or extra-large. The room is small with some floor seating, and no listing shows a reservation route, so there is normally a wait. It closes between 15:00 and 17:00.

Tips

  • Two to three minutes on foot from Seongsu Station Exit 1 (Line 2) — sources differ. Ground floor of the Dongjin Building.
  • Sources disagree. Most list it as open daily with only holiday closures, but Menupan lists it closed Sundays and Mondays. Closing time is given as either 22:00 or 21:40. Check before making a long trip.
  • DiningCode describes writing your name on the waiting list in arrival order, with no booking. None of the sources checked mention a remote queueing app. Several note the room is small enough that many customers order takeout instead.
  • With one dish you only choose a size, but listed prices range from 40,000 to 55,000 won depending on the source, so check on site. Bean sprout soup and chive kimchi come as side dishes. Part of the room is floor seating, so you may be seated shoeless.

The signature item is "pigotchi", dried persimmon topped with cream cheese and pecans (₩10,000). It is about 170 m from Seongsu Station Exit 2.
