A live music hall in the basement of a building on Eoulmadang-ro, Seogyo-dong. Seoul's cultural-venue listing gives it 200 seats or 450 standing and dates it to 1995. The line-up changes nightly and each show is sold through whichever ticketing site that promoter uses. The one the venue's own site links to, Melon Ticket, requires identity verification through a Korean domestic mobile number before it will let you buy, so that route is closed to a visitor without a Korean number.

The hall has no booking system of its own; where a ticket is sold depends on the show. The official site links to Melon Ticket, and the hall is also registered as a venue on YES24 Ticket. None of the sources checked say whether tickets are sold at the door on the night, so do not travel there assuming they are — call +82-2-325-6071 first.

The payment methods listed in Melon Ticket's booking guide are credit card, bank transfer, carrier billing and KakaoPay. Nothing states whether an overseas-issued card goes through. Whether anything is payable at the venue, and by what means, is not documented either.

Tips

  • Melon Ticket will not start a booking until you have signed up, logged in and passed identity verification. Melon's own help page states that foreign nationals can register with a Kakao account and use basic services, but that anything requiring identity verification — purchases included — is available only to those who can verify through a domestic Korean mobile phone. Without a Korean number you cannot reach the payment step on that site.
  • If a booking does go through on Melon Ticket, collection is by post, on-site pickup or mobile ticket. On-site pickup runs from one hour to thirty minutes before the start time and is listed as requiring the booking confirmation plus a physical ID document. Nothing says a copy or photo of a passport counts, so carry the passport itself. A mobile ticket is shown on the day and that is the entry.
  • The address is 35 Eoulmadang-ro, Mapo-gu (Seogyo-dong), basement levels 1 and 2. The nearest station is Sangsu (Line 6) Exit 1, but the distance differs by source: Seoul's cultural-venue listing says 396 m, about six minutes on foot, while the Seoul Tourism Organization's English page says 340 m. The same city listing puts Hapjeong Station (Line 2) Exit 6 at 770 m, about eleven minutes, and notes buses 7011, 7013A and 7013B stopping at Sangsu Station.
  • Four sources give four different answers on hours. The Seoul Tourism Organization's English page says 12:00–22:00, the Korea Tourism Organization's English page says they vary by performance, Seoul's cultural-venue listing says open year-round, and the footer of the venue's own site reads "Mon–Thu 09:00–23:00". These are office hours in any case; door time is announced per show, so read the notice for the show you booked.
  • Even the site's language support is contested: the Korea Tourism Organization's English page lists it as "www.rollinghall.co.kr (Korean, English)" while the Seoul Tourism Organization's page lists the homepage as Korean only. The schedule is written in Korean titles, so searching by the band's name is faster. Parking is listed as not available on the Korea Tourism Organization page.

A five-floor mall at 188 Yanghwa-ro, in front of Hongik Univ. Station. AK Plaza's official page gives 11:00–22:00 on weekdays and 10:30–22:00 on weekends and public holidays; there was no closing day in September 2026. Floors run 1F daily lifestyle, 2F fandom and accessories, 3F street culture, 4F entertainment and 5F animation and culture. During opening hours it also works as a restroom stop by the station: Korea's accessible-tourism listing notes an accessible toilet and elevators.

A Hongdae meat house that says it hand-picks only 1++ Hanwoo and pork with 40%+ marbling, with staff grilling each cut for you. It opens every day from 12:00 to 23:00 with last order at 22:20, so a late dinner works — and corkage is free if you bring your own wine.

A Gimbap Cheonguk branch at 55 Eoulmadang-ro. Its hours change by day, so whether it works for breakfast depends on the day: on Friday and Saturday nights it stays open until 09:00 the next morning, while Monday to Thursday it closes at 05:30 and reopens at 10:00. Gimbap starts at ₩4,000; visitors say ordering is by kiosk and it also sells soju and beer.

Manaolana

마나올라나

A brunch cafe on Seongmisan-ro in Yeonnam-dong. Its DiningCode listing gives 07:00–18:00 every day, last order 17:00. The menu is breakfast food: a one-plate brunch, sandwiches, Greek yoghurt bowls and a potato soup. Apart from the 24-hour gimbap shops, it is the earliest opening in Hongdae and Yeonnam on any day of the week.
